***Please don't make any trades or drop any players until notified***
Everybody head over to our team budget forum ( fantasyoftheirown.freeforums.net/board/8/team-budgets) and make a post in your team thread with your contracts, using the following guidelines:
Two players with 5-year contracts
Four players with 4-year contracts
Six players with 3-year contracts
Six players with 2-year contracts
Any other players with 1-year contracts
Owners do not have to hand out all these contracts, however, they may not exceed the limits shown above.
Example:
If an owner wants to sign just one player to a 5-year contract, then he may hand out five 4-year contracts rather than the allotted four
If a player is rookie eligible ( has less than 130 ABs or 50 IP) move him to your minor leagues and we will set his salary to $0. (I already started doing this to save myself some time)
After everybody has their contracts finished we will set the salary cap, and open up trading, dropping players and other roster moves.
Be aware we won't make your salary official (count half of it towards your team payroll) until opening day, so you have roughly 2 weeks to get your salary where you want. You may drop players you drafted during this period, but you will not be able to bid on those same players you drop the first waiver wire period (just like in the regular season), but you may bid on them the 2nd waiver wire period.
One thing we're going to implement that we didn't cover previously is "Minor League Mondays". You are only allowed to call players up from your minors every Monday. You'll have 24 hours to make a post on the forums setting the contract length for the player you call up, just like before, only now those posts must be made on Monday and only Monday. You are allowed to send players down to the minors any time you'd like.
Thank you for bearing with us through this long draft, let's get this season going.
